The Chilean Society of Endocrinology and Metabolism was founded on June 4 1958 in the city of Santiago. The organisation brings together professionals interested in the field and disseminates scientific and technological knowledge amongst its members as well as creating and fostering scientific, technological, cultural and social links with similar societies in the country and abroad. The society encourages and supports scientific research and clinical and experimental studies in endocrinology and metabolism and related subjects and advises public and private agencies on matters relating to Endocrinology and Metabolism.
