International Congresses of Endocrinology

The ISE works with its member societies to hold a two yearly ISE-affiliated meeting in rotation between Oceania, Asia and Australasia, Europe and Africa and The Americas. The next meeting will be held in partnership with the European Society of Endocrinology in Italy:

15th International Congress of Endocrinology is being held jointly with the 14th European Congress of Endocrinology in Florence, Italy, 5-9 May 2012. The unconventional venue of the Fortezza da Bassoa (one of Florences most important monuments from the Medici era) will make for a fascinating congress! Supported Meetings

In addition to the main 2 yearly meeting, the ISE helps to foster the globalization and inter-regional development of, existing National meetings, offering ISE supported Symposia, Plenary lectures and Travel fellowships in particular to member societies from emerging nations. The latest ISE supported meeting was in December 2009:

A recent trip to Ghana by two of our Executive Committee Members, Paul Stewart (Secretary Treasurer) and Xavier Bertagna, saw the launch of the Endocrinology Endocrine and Metabolism Metabolic Society of Ghana (EMSG). The meeting took place at the Ghana College of Physicians and Surgeons - an impressively large and modern building within the city of Accra on 7th & 8th December 2009. The meeting was a huge success in raising the profile of Endocrinology, Diabetes and Metabolism across Ghana and establishing new initiatives. Past Events

The 14th International Congress of Endocrinology (ICE 2010) was held in Kyoto, Japan on 26-30 March 2010. ICE 2010 Kyoto the first new style of ICE under the new statutes of the ISE. The host society, the Japan Endocrine Society organised an outstanding congress that brought together over 5,000 leading endocrinologists from around the world and showcased the latest in scientific findings related to the field of endocrinology across the globe. ISE Endorsement

The International Society of Endocrinology values the exchange of science and providing education in the form of organized meetings/workshops and therefore would be pleased to consider endorsing or sponsoring events of high scientific and educational quality.

Any Society, Member Associations, ISE corporate partners and other organizations who seek endorsement or sponsorship of a scientific event may apply to ISE.

Endorsement or sponsorship of an activity by the International Society of Endocrinology is written approval of the content and goals of an activity. It permits the organizer of the activity to signal this endorsement/sponsorship by using the ISE logo and name in association with the activity under the conditions contained in the downloadableguidelines. ISE endorsement/sponsorship does not necessarily imply financial support of any activity. Meetings/workshops may be of any size but must address topics of relevance and fulfill the highest scientific and educational standards.

The request for endorsement/sponsorship of a meeting or workshop should be submitted at the earliest stage of planning. This will allow for the scientific event to be appropriately evaluated and for any necessary arrangements to be made in association with an endorsement. ISE reserves the right to decline a request for endorsement or sponsorship without any statement of reason. For full details download the follwing policy and application form.
